Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Celebrates His 500th NASCAR Start as the Clemco Green Machine Battles Forward in St. Louis

  • The 1.25-mile oval demanded everything from the No. 47 team, with tight racing, hard-fought restarts, changing track conditions, and valuable track position making every lap count. From deep in the field, Stenhouse went to work and began battling his way forward.

    As the race heated up, so did the Clemco Green Machine. Stenhouse kept his foot down and fought for every inch of asphalt, navigating traffic and taking advantage of opportunities to climb through the running order. At one point, he charged all the way up to P14 — an impressive 22-position climb from where he started. But after a strong push through the field, a wreck on the final lap disrupted his charge, and the No. 47 ultimately crossed the finish line 26th.

    The final result may not have reflected the run Stenhouse and the HYAK Motorsports crew put together, but there was no shortage of fight from the No. 47 team. From the opening green flag to the final-lap chaos, the Clemco Green Machine kept digging, showing the grit, determination, and never-quit attitude it takes to compete at NASCAR’s highest level.

    And this race meant a little more. With the Clemco Green Machine racing in Clemco’s own backyard, the Enjoy Illinois 300 brought the excitement of NASCAR home to St. Louis. The roar of the engines, the energy of the hometown crowd, and the sight of Clemco green charging around World Wide Technology Raceway made for an unforgettable weekend — and another high-speed chapter in the story of Clemco Racing.

It was a hard-fought afternoon for Stenhouse and the Clemco Green Machine, as they battled to the checkered flag in front of the St. Louis home crowd.

    Ricky Stenhouse Jr. started eighth in Sunday night’s Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington. The No. 47 HYAK Motorsports Chevrolet battled through a demanding night, finishing 35th, four laps down. Stenhouse and the No. 47 team showed early speed despite the tough finish.

    Ricky Stenhouse Jr. charged from 32nd to fifth in Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona. The No. 47 Chevrolet gained 27 positions through a wild overtime finish. Stenhouse avoided the late-race chaos and powered to the checkered flag, earning a top-five finish.

    Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finished 20th in Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Driving the No. 47 HYAK Motorsports Chevrolet, Stenhouse completed all 160 laps, stayed on the lead lap, and secured a solid top-20 finish after a clean, consistent afternoon.

    Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finished 34th in Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series Window World 450 at North Wilkesboro Speedway after completing 442 of the 450 scheduled laps. Despite battling throughout the race, the No. 47 HYAK Motorsports Chevrolet finished two laps down in 34th place.

    EchoPark Speedway – Atlanta | JULY 12

    Ricky Stenhouse Jr. rolled off 15th and battled the tight packs at EchoPark Speedway in Sunday's Quaker State 400. After surviving a rain delay, intense drafting, and an overtime finish, the No. 47 HYAK Motorsports Chevrolet came home 23rd, adding another hard-fought finish in NASCAR's wildest racing.

    Chicagoland Speedway — Chicago | JULY 5

    Ricky Stenhouse Jr. started 24th and finished 26th in Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series eero 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. Driving the No. 47 HYAK Motorsports Chevrolet, he remained on the lead lap. Stenhouse heads to Atlanta looking to rebound in the Quaker State 400.

    Ricky Stenhouse Jr. charged from the 33rd starting position to finish 21st in the June 28, 2026 Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. The effort earned the No. 47 Chevrolet team 16 NASCAR Cup Series points and moved Stenhouse up two positions to 24th in the championship standings.

    Ricky Stenhouse Jr. started 33rd and finished 33rd in the Anduril 250 at Coronado Naval Base after an early exit. An engine stall on Lap 12 was followed by a terminal engine failure on Lap 59, bringing out a caution. Stenhouse now turns his focus to the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.
